The initiation of this survey was due to the Ministry wanting to raise the general public awareness on this type of violence, this so-called “hidden” violence and make this topic more visible. The survey was inspired by the British study “The Day to Count.” In Norway this became a snap-shot study of all of the cases assistance services work with involving this type of violence during a specific week in 2003. <\/p>\n

This memo provides a summary and an evaluation of the survey. <\/p>\n
